How to Style Volume Rich Smoothed Out Tresses

Step One: Cleanse and Restore

The first thing I do is make sure to purify and cleanse my hair from any and all build up. I know a lot of curly gals swear by the no-poo method, and I too notice when I use harsh cleansers my hair is completely stripped. Step Two: Smooth the Hair Shaft

I then prep the hair with HEATED.DEFENSE, a weightless heat protectant and softener that protects against damage up to 450℉, before going in with a blow dryer and flatiron. By now my hair is in perfect shape for some heat tools, after all the rinses, I blow dried my hair with a round blow dry brush on the highest temperature using my T3 Micro blow dryer, and then went in with a professional flat iron on medium temperature. To keep the volume, I don’t use the highest temperature on the styling iron as these products have really worked to smooth and prep my hair! This process left a lot of volume in my hair which I love.
